Before you can scare yourself and think the worst, however, I want to reassure you right away that contrary to appearances, putting music on iTunes is not complicated at all. I know, maybe right now you’re thinking the exact opposite but you have to trust me, that’s really the way it is.

How to Import music on itunes
Before explaining how to put music on iTunes, however, it is good that you clear your mind about the nature of the program in question. If you weren’t already aware of it, know that iTunes is the default multimedia player for Apple products as well as the store through which it is possible to purchase multimedia content for Apple devices. It is then the software that allows you to manage all the iPhones, iPads and iPods. iTunes is pre-installed on Mac systems, but not on Windows.
Note: Regardless of whether you have a Mac or a PC, the steps to be taken to put music on iTunes are exactly the same. With some exceptions, the player has in fact similar commands on both OS X and Windows.

In fact, to put music on iTunes it is possible to proceed by importing songs and folders already present on the computer, copying music CDs or purchasing music on the iTunes Store.
Import songs and folders
If you are interested in understanding how to put music on iTunes by importing songs and folders already present on the computer, the first thing you need to do is start the Apple multimedia player, wait for the latter window to be visible on the screen, press the menu File and then choose the item Add to library….
At this point select the song or folder containing the music files you are interested in putting on iTunes and then press the button You open placed in the lower right part of the new window that went to open.
Then wait a few moments for the procedure by which to put music on iTunes to be started and completed, then check that the song or music collection of your interest has been correctly added to the player by taking a look at the section Music of the same accessible by clicking on the icon in the shape of a musical note connected in the upper left part of the program window.
As an alternative to the procedure that I have just indicated, know that you can also put music on iTunes by simply pressing the icon in the shape of a musical note located in the upper left part of the player window, clicking on the item Music located at the top and dragging the single song or folder containing the music you intend to import directly into the program window.
Then wait a few moments for the procedure I just indicated for putting music on iTunes to start and complete, then check that the song or music collection of your interest has been correctly added to the player by taking a look at the section Music of the same.
Copy music CDs
Do you have a music CD and want to understand how to put music on iTunes by copying it? If the answer is yes, to start with, start the Apple multimedia player and then insert the disk you intend to “rip” (if you weren’t aware of it, know that this is the jargon when you transform music CDs or DVD movies into files compressed as MP3 and Avi/DivX) into your computer’s optical drive.
Once this is done, after a few moments a new window should appear on the screen with the message written on it Do you want to import the “CD Title” CD into your iTunes library? (instead of CD title you will find the title of the music CD you have inserted in your computer indicated). Then press the button Yup in order to start the procedure by which to put music on iTunes and wait for the complete operation.
Then wait a few minutes for the procedure I just indicated for putting music on iTunes to start and complete, then check that the song or music collection of your interest has been correctly added to the player by taking a look at the section Music of the same which you can access by pressing the icon in the shape of a musical note connected in the upper left part of the program window.
Note that by default songs on the CD will be imported into iTunes in ACC format. If you are interested in changing the format in which the songs on the CD are imported into the player before starting the procedure by which to put music on iTunes that I have just indicated, press on the item iTunes (if you’re using OS X) or on voice Edit (if you are using Windows) located at the top of the program window and then click on Preferences… and then on the button Import Settings… present next to the item When you insert a CD: attached to the displayed window.
Then use the menu located next to the item Import using: to choose the format in which to put music to iTunes from CD. Optionally you can also select the import quality. To do this, select the desired operation from the menu located next to the item Settings:. Once the changes are finished, press the button Okay to confirm and apply the changes.
Purchase music from the iTunes Store
The solutions to put music on iTunes that I have already proposed do not interest you and you want to understand how to succeed in your intent by buying music directly from the store attached to the famous player? Yup? Well in that case proceed as follows.
Start iTunes, press the button depicting a musical note which is located at the top left and then click on the item iTunesStore present in the upper right. At this point you should see the home page of the iTunes Store with the list of the most interested albums of the moment. To browse the sales charts or the list of albums based on the musical genres they belong to, use the buttons and items located at the top of the window, instead to search for artists and songs directly, use the field Near which is located at the top right.
To download a song or album of interest and then to put music on iTunes, just click on the button located next to the title of the same and indicating the purchase price. After clicking on the button, enter any password referring to your Apple account and then wait for the procedure by which to upload music from iTunes to be first started and then completed.
If you wish, before downloading a song or an album, you can listen to a short preview by pressing the play button which you can display by moving the mouse cursor over the title of the same.
Once the download is complete, you can then listen to the downloaded music by accessing the section Music of iTunes on your PC or Mac.
The standard prices of the albums are between 9.00 euros and 13.00 euros, those of the singles instead range from 0.99 euros to 1.29 euros but there are also offers with albums for 5.99 euros and singles for 0 .69 euros.
